An
Opportunity to Shape Your Canada
Protect
Marriage, Freedom of Speech
and Freedom of Religion
Protect
your children's inheritance
If a new conservative
party is formed it presents us with both an ideal opportunity, and
an obligation, to shape the future of Canada. If this new party
becomes reality then those who have joined as members will have
the right to shape it. This new entity is clay waiting to be formed.
Who are the potters that will form the clay going to be? What shape
will the clay assume?
CFAC has received
many inquiries about the merger. There are arguments both pro and
con that are surfacing. This debate will continue for several weeks
until the party members vote. But one thing is clear to CFAC. If
this party merger goes ahead there are compelling reasons for Canadians
concerned about moral and social (pro-family) principles to get
directly involved. The grassroot true conservatives must ensure
party policies that respect marriage, true democracy and freedom
of speech and religion. For example, the current Agreement in Principle
makes no commitment to defend the one-man/ one-woman definition
of marriage. This is a concern to CFAC. It will be up to grassroots
party members to get involved and ensure these principles are affirmed
by the new party. There will be a policy convention where these
decisions are made. Will you be there? If not you, someone else
will set the policies.
CFAC's mission
has always been to mobilize grassroot Canadians to shape public
policy in Canada. If the new party is created - YOU can make it
a party that will offer a real choice for Judeo-Christian morality
in contrast to the extremist, anti-family policies of the Liberals.
You can make the party one that will rely on tradition and common
sense, and thereby preserve marriage, the building block of society.
You can assure that the new entity stands against the lunacy of
passing laws that criminalize the Bible and decriminalize marijuana,
just to mention a couple of issues.
Make this a
party of common sense ideology and real conservatism. The key is
to get involved in the party at the grassroots level.
If you register/join
with either the Canadian Alliance or the Progressive Conservative
party after Oct 15, 2003, you will automatically be a member of
the proposed new Conservative Party of Canada.
But the sooner
you register/join, the more say you will have in any future decisions.
Once you register/join,
grassroots democracy begins. You will be entitled to vote on the
proposal to merge the parties sometime well before December the
12th. Should the parties formally merge, shortly after January 1st
you can vote for new local constituency executive. These individuals
are crucial to the grassroots process. Soon afterwards, you will
have an opportunity to choose an appropriate candidate to run for
MP in the next election. On or about March 20th you can then vote
for a candidate to lead the new party that will represent you with
common sense conservative social and fiscal (not progressive) policies.
For the next
few weeks the choice is yours. If not YOU, then who? If not NOW,
when?
So
register soon. Have your ideas and voice count.
You
can register immediately at www.pcparty.ca
or at www.canadianalliance.ca.
