Action Alert for Canada's Clergy |
|
Dear Canadian
Clergy:
As you
know, there is a battle raging for the soul of our nation
over the definition of marriage. The foundation of our society
and our faith is about to be destroyed. "If the foundations
be destroyed what should the righteous do?" This fight
can be won if we humble ourselves, seek God's face and pray.

I want to ask
you lead the Sanctity of Marriage call to prayer in your riding
on September 7th at 3:00pm on the doorstep of your Member of Parliament.
For one hour you can lead thousands in prayer along with a local
Priest, Rabbi and other Pastors. Prayer changes things. Prayer can
even change the heart of your MP if he or she is planning to vote
to redefine marriage. If the MP's heart is not changed then prayer
can change the MP.
Please call
and invite a local Priest of a prominent Catholic Church, a local
Rabbi and two other Pastors of the largest congregations in your
area to join you in this prayer rally. Also please print the attached
flyer and distribute it as far as possible in your church and community.
Ask other local Clergy to do the same.
During the first
week of September from the 1st to the 7th please focus on the Sanctity
of Marriage Week by teaching, preaching and praying for the protection
of Marriage. Our society spends more time learning how to obtain
a drivers license than a marriage license. The biblical principles
of Marriage need to be disseminated throughout our nation if the
Marriage is to be protected.
On September
the 7th we are expecting one Million people across Canada to join
in prayer at 3:00pm in separate prayer rallies in each and every
riding. If we can achieve an average of just over 3,000 people in
all 301 ridings the goal of one million will be met.
I know that
your prayer rally can achieve the goal and you can effect change
in Canada. Please give every effort possible for the soul of Canada
weighs in the balance. If not you then who? If not now when? When
the sleeping giant of 10 million Canadian worshippers rise and express
their will Marriage will once again be protected in Canada.
Please reply
as soon as possible by fax or email. For further details go to www.sanctityofmarriage.ca.
May God Bless
You as You Stand and Having Done All to Stand.

Declaration
We
declare that the redefinition of the sacred term marriage would
mean a devaluation of traditional marriage as the basis of the family
and as an essential institution for the stability and equilibrium
of society.
Marriage, understood
as the lasting union of a man and woman to the exclusion of others,
pre-exists the State. Because it pre-exists the State and because
it is fundamental for society, the institution of marriage cannot
be modified, whether by the Charter of Rights, the State or a court
of law.
"Any two
persons" cannot be considered as marriage. The proposed legislation
to redefine marriage represents an assault on common sense, an assault
on the values of societies, and an assault on the liberties of men
and women of good will.
I pray that
our Member of Parliament will have the courage to vote against the
proposed legislation and act in conformity with the law that is
inscribed within human nature and which is not affected by every
wind that blows.
Guidelines
All statements and prayers must protect marriage. Any attempt
to diverge from the vision and to introduce any other agenda must
not be permitted and would be paramount to supporting the desecration
of Marriage. No anti-homosexual rhetoric or signage will be permitted.
The only speakers will be the Clergy and the current local Member
of Parliament. This meeting must not be used for any partisan purposes.
