Black and white - as is the issue of marriage redefinition!

Clergy Rally Information & Program

Dear Clergy:

"If the foundations be destroyed what shall the righteous do?" "Are there 50 righteous among us?" Are you willing to stand for the sanctity of marriage?

On September 7th people of faith have an opportunity to fulfill their duty and stand shoulder to shoulder praying for the protection of Marriage. When the sleeping giant, 10 million worshippers, rise up and pray Marriage will be preserved. As Clergy you are called to lead therefore I ask you to draw your community together for prayer.

If not you then who? If not now when? Now is the right time and the right cause, so that future generations will be grateful that we stood here for that which is most precious, our faith, marriage and family? Please fully participate and invite your congregation and community to stand for the sanctity of marriage and having done all to stand.

Declaration
We declare that the redefinition of the sacred term marriage would mean a devaluation of traditional marriage as the basis of the family and as an essential institution for the stability and equilibrium of society.

Marriage, understood as the lasting union of a man and woman to the exclusion of others, pre-exists the State. Because it pre-exists the State and because it is fundamental for society, the institution of marriage cannot be modified, whether by the Charter of Rights, the State or a court of law.

"Any two persons" cannot be considered as marriage. The proposed legislation to redefine marriage represents an assault on common sense, an assault on the values of societies, and an assault on the liberties of men and women of good will.

I pray that our Member of Parliament will have the courage to vote against the proposed legislation and act in conformity with the law that is inscribed within human nature and which is not affected by every wind that blows.

Guidelines
All statements and prayers must protect marriage. Any attempt to diverge from the vision and to introduce any other agenda must not be permitted and would be paramount to supporting the desecration of Marriage. No anti-homosexual rhetoric or signage will be permitted. The only speakers will be the Clergy and the current local Member of Parliament. This meeting must not be used for any partisan purposes.
