Immediate release

In the largest “child porn bust” in Canadian history 22 child victims have so far been identified, at least 22 lives harmed by sex perverts. Whatever the root of societies disgusting sexual behavior of perverts is – it is on the increase?  Is it the 1960’s social norm of sexual freedom, the ‘do what I want’ liberal philosophy or selfish “me first” ideology ”, asks Brian Rushfeldt, President of Canada Family Action.

These arrests are more evidence of why the Conservative government’s focus on such crimes needs to be  applauded and supported.

CFA and over 60,000 Canadians, on petition, are asking the Senate to immediately pass Bill C10 that contains mandatory sentences for such sex perverts. “Without mandatory sentences too many of these predators will soon be re-offending against children”, warns Rushfeldt.

Because of the current pathetic criminal law and liberal judges who refuse to use or even approach the maximum sentences in the law, children are easy and frequent prey.

As reported, 60 sex criminals are charged with 213 charges including sexual assault, child luring, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and accessing child pornography.  Rushfeldt said “it is our hope that the sexual assault charges will be sentenced as harshly as the Criminal Code allows. As for the “porn” charges – many of the sex predators are likely laughing at the 14 day or 90 day minimum sentences: which they may not even get.

All “child porn” charges ought to be dealt with as sex related charges. Criminal code terminology is in error to call such crimes “pornography.  Every image is evidence of sexual assault including rape, sodomy and other horrendous uncivilized acts against children.”
