Dear
Honourable Jamie Muir,
Having
read the controversial book "Sex? A Healthy Sexuality
Resource", I was appalled to learn that this resource
may soon become part of the Nova Scotia academic curriculum.
Having four children presently attending school in two
school districts, CCRSB and AVRSB, I am concerned with
the method in which my children are going to be introduced
to sex and its related topics.
It
is ironic that the word "God" and all that is
divinely represented has been removed from the lips of
the public school and "Sex" will be injected
into the minds of our children. I object to the very core
of this sexual interference. How blatantly ignorant is
a society that accepts and approves of a 13-year-old child
having sex with someone their own age or older!!
Equally appalling is the fact that a 14-year-old child
is of legal age of sexual consent!!
Do
not teach my children "good" or "safe"
contraceptive practices! Do not teach my children that
they can "decide how far they can go"! Do not
teach my children how and when to abort a fetus! You are
infringing upon my spiritual, religious, ethical and moral
beliefs!
If
this book finds its way into the academic curriculum where
my children are attending school or wherever they are
directly or indirectly influenced by its contents, get
your legal council in order as I promise to you a legal
suit that will gain so much momentum that you will need
to beg Ottawa for funds to continue these school districts!
Maintain
a focus of preparing our children for further education
and rewarding career choices.
If
you have been copied on this email and have not read this
book, read it on-line at http://www.gov.ns.ca/ohp/publications/Sex_A_Healthy_Sexuality_Resource.pdf
and you will be able to understand the outrage that is
being generated as a result of its tentative introduction
to our Nova Scotia schools.

Dear
Honourable Jamie Muir,
I
have just read the controversial book "Sex? A Healthy
Sexuality Resource", I am disgusted that our government
would even think of putting in print a book that will
enhance the sexual activity of our children. What sick
minds are being plastered in the government.
Sex
is not OK or will be OK with a young teenagers, and through
proper parenting and guidance which is our duty and not
yours we can teach our children respect and appreciation
for their sexuality through our own love and committment
to their welfare.
Educating
my children and our future generation is not about giving
them a free ride in the sex department.
What
happened to chastity???? Don't hear anyone teaching that??
Instead it's "let me show you how everything works
- how morally degrading, sick, and perverse.
You
have no right to push an acknowledgement of such a sick
book to any child.
Oh,
I forgot, Parents have no rights - the children in secrecy
can do whatever they want when this book is exposed to
them.
Our
children are not sex vultures, if you want to teach them
anything of great importance, teach them morals then you
would be in the right ballfield.
Do
not teach my children what you think is sound judgement,
you are enfringing on my rights as a parent and my belief
of what is right and wrong to our children.
You
will not corrupt the minds of innocent children.
Focus
on educating our children with rewarding "career
choices" . Do not violate our role as parents.

Dear
Editor,
I
have just read the 124 page "Sex" manual that
our NS government is aiming at 12 year old school kids.
If parents were better informed about the distorted vision
of sexuality being pushed on their children, I believe
Dr.
Hamm would have a huge problem on his hands. Though the
government has not hidden its existence, very few parents
have actually viewed its contents.
It can be found at
gov.ns.ca/ohp/publications/Sex_A_Healthy_Sexuality_Resource.pdf
on the internet.
The
"Sex" manual contains not only misinformation
on human sexuality, but outright propaganda from the militant
homosexual movement. Certainly, most
12 year olds should not be assaulted with graphic information
on oral sex or the use of dental dams. They should not
be lied to about "emergency contraceptives"
or "morning after pills" - which are, in most
cases, do-it-yourself home abortions. They should not
be told that it is "normal"
to use sex toys, to feel that they are "transgendered",
or that the use of condoms means "safe" sex.
And,
children should not be encouraged to secretly visit Planned
Parenthood (the largest abortion provider on the planet)
or so-called health nurses - without the knowledge of
their parents - to obtain free contraceptives or abortion
referrals.
The
public school system should not be used by today's social
engineers to oppose the moral values being taught by family
and church. I strongly oppose the use of this book in
our schools. There are much better resources available
to teach children about healthy human sexuality.
Sincerely,
Jim Christian
