In
light of the momentous significance of a federal election,
it is incumbent upon every ONE of us to do all we can
to ensure honest and integral MPs who support marriage,
family and democratic freedoms fill the House of Commons.
This
may be our last opportunity for several years to halt
the liberalization and destruction of Canadas
responsible, moral, reasonable and civilized fabric.
The reputation and standing of this nation at home and
abroad has become not just tarnished, but rotten.
If
we Canadians do not act, we will see our country fiscally
destroyed by socialistic policy, dictatorial bordering
on fascist control by the left, and morally reprehensible
in the sight of any right minded moral caring person.
All
that our war heroes fought for is being corrupted. They
fought we complain!
WHAT
CAN YOU DO TO reverse the erosion?
Multiply your values and views and efforts:
Transform
your ONE vote into 20, 50 or a 100 by influencing others.
Some
tips to help you do this:
1)
All Candidates Forum
Arrange
for your group, church, community association
or even yourself as an individual to host a Family
Forum meeting. Publicize the event in every way
you can. Invite ALL candidates to attend. Hold a question
period and ask hard questions. Ensure you have an excellent
moderator. Find out who the candidates that want your
vote really are. Do they have character and not just
words?
Leave
approximately 30-45 minutes to take questions from the
audience in writing ( provide little cards ). Pass the
questions to the moderator in the order they are received,
until the time allotted is up. Ensure you have lots
of people in the audience that will ask good questions.
An
all-candidates forum is an excellent way to provide
information to voters. It gives them the opportunity
to be exposed to the candidates in person. Attendees
will likely share this information with others who did
not attend the forum. Overall, it is an excellent way
to motivate and remind people to vote.
2)
Volunteer to Help a Good Candidate
There
are many excellent small "c" conservative
candidates running for office in this election who will
defend life, marriage, children, financial accountability,
and democratic freedoms. Volunteer to help. Every candidate
needs more hands, more feet and more voices. Find out
which local candidate will represent your views in government.
Call their office and get your name on their list of
volunteers.
3)
Telephone Chains
THE
LAST 3 DAYS BEFORE AN ELECTION ARE CRUCIAL. Many citizens
make their voting decision in these last 3 days. During
this crucial time period, call everyone you know and
ask them if they are going to vote. Let them know who
you support and why. Ask them to call 10 or 20 people
they know with the same question. PEER PRESSURE at its
best - could win this election.
4)
Publicly Express Your Informed Opinion
Write
a letter to the editor about which party leader or which
local candidate you support and why. Call in to radio
and TV talk shows when they are discussing election
issues. Be courteous and concise. Use common-sense language
that the average voter will understand. Stick to the
main issues; make your point based on common sense,
logic and fact, and at all times be polite. Remember
that many media personnel love to try and paint small
"c" conservatives as wing-nut extremists.
They may say things to try to get an angry reaction
out of you.
Don't
take the bait. Be reasonable, calm, and courteous.
5)
Stay Informed
Visit
www.familyaction.org as soon as the election is called
and see the list of candidates from various riding in
Canada that we assess to be honest, integral, family-friendly,
pro-marriage, and worthy of sitting in Parliament as
leaders. Most importantly find out who YOUR candidates
really are.
When
the POLLS open BE THERE ! Fix this country at
the polls.
